Electrons in magnetic field reveal surprises
The best glimpse yet of electrons moving in a magnetic field has revealed that the particles’ behaviour differs strongly from what is predicted by classical physics but is consistent with quantum-mechanical theory. Instead of rotating uniformly at a particular frequency, an international team of researchers has found that electrons in a magnetic field are capable of rotating at three different frequencies, depending on their quantum properties.
The Theory of Heat Radiation
https://archive.org/details/theoryofheatradi00planrich/page/n19/mode/2up
This is the classic Max Planck theory, in old fashioned “book” format. But it’s fundamental for anyone studying light, how it works, and how it may affect the photography of ghosts, among other things.
Black Bodies and Planck Explained

https://motls.blogspot.com/2010/04/on-importance-of-black-bodies.html
A black body or blackbody is an idealized physical body that absorbs all incident electromagnetic radiation, regardless of frequency or angle of incidence. The name “black body” is given because it absorbs radiation in all frequencies, not because it only absorbs: a black body can emit black-body radiation. The black body is one of the most crucial and most universal concepts in thermodynamics.
What does this have to do with ghosts? Admittedly this is an esoteric concept, but if you go down the rabbit hole of understanding infrared, and accept that ghosts seem to be visible in infrared as well as in the visible spectrum, you will invariably come across a discussion of black body radiation. So here are some resources I found useful in understanding what this is.
If you would rather kick back and watch a great video summarization, take a look at the first link, which is PhysicsHigh, an entertaining and very easy to understand video. I did not take physics in high school, so this is as good as it will get for me. Paul is an amazingly gifted “explainer of stuff”. He also has a great accent, so his videos sound much more authoritative!
The Broken Technology of Ghost Hunting
It’s helpful to be informed about the limitations of equipment commonly used during paranormal investigations. A very good article by the Atlantic (one of my favorite publications) discusses the use, and misuse, of various tools. Even if you don’t agree, if you are trying to establish proof it makes sense to know what some objections will be.

Measuring Sound With Microphones
This document provides information to help you understand the fundamentals of sound pressure, how microphones work, and how different sensor specifications impact microphone performance in your application.
In addition to the sensor characteristics, you must consider the required hardware and software to properly condition, acquire, and visualize microphone measurements. For example, you need to perform signal processing, such as octave analysis on raw sound pressure signals to represent the data in a format comparable to the response of the human ear. To better familiarize yourself with the measurement hardware and software processing necessary for microphone measurements, download the Engineer’s Guide to Accurate Sensor Measurements.

World of MrGrey on Youtube
OK, graphics on my screenshot are not great, but blame it on The Ghosts of Carmel Maine. If you love Scottish people (and who doesn’t?), and love debunkers, you will love this guy. He carefully picks apart videos from some of the more famous Youtube channels. It’s a great channel, and you will learn a lot.
If you watch as many debunking videos as you watch ghost videos, you will get a great sense of what is real (very little) and what is b******t. In addition to the ridiculous fakery on Ghosts of Carmel Maine, he takes on Huff Paranormal, Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures, Nuke’s Top 5, Slapped Ham, and many others. It’s usually funny, and he does not back off when he sees people being dishonest and sometimes hurtful (helpful hoaxer hint: don’t tell someone you talked to their dead girlfriend when she is alive and well).
